Hi Marvs, thanks for the detailed breakdown. It is reassuring to read that you do not sell or trade email lists.I had a question regarding the ‘Third Parties’ section. You mentioned that IP and geographic data might be shared with third parties—is this strictly for analytics tools like Google Analytics, or does this include advertising networks as well? I just wanted to clarify how that data is used.

    • Marvs

Hi Adrian, I’m so sorry for the late feedback on this!

Thanks for the question. At the moment, data sharing is limited to analytics tools like Google Analytics for site performance and improvement. We do not share personal data with advertising networks.

Thank you so much for this  privacy policy. It is important to feel and be secured. How does Wealthy Affiliate ensure that personal data shared during the comment exchange process—specifically IP addresses and email signatures is protected from being harvested by third-party participants or used for marketing outside of the platform?

    • Marvs

Thanks for the comment. Wealthy Affiliate keeps comments within its secure system, and personal details like IP addresses or emails aren’t visible to other members or used for outside marketing.

Hello Marvs! This was super easy to read and actually made me feel comfortable — thank you for putting it together in a way that doesn’t feel like legalese! Privacy policies usually make me glaze over, but yours breaks things down clearly so I know what information is collected and how it’s used without feeling confused or overwhelmed. It’s refreshing to see transparency spelled out in plain language, and it gives peace of mind when I’m interacting with the rest of the site. I appreciate the thoughtfulness behind making something like this accessible for everyday readers!Angela M 🙂

Thanks for sharing this detailed privacy policy. I really appreciate how transparently you explain what information is collected and how it’s used here on the site. It’s reassuring to know that personal details like comment submissions and cookies are handled thoughtfully and with respect for visitor privacy. I’m curious, do you have any tips for readers about how to manage cookie settings or other tools to help protect our privacy online while still enjoying content like this?

    • Marvs

Hi Leica, thank you for the kind words, and sorry for the slow reply! I wanted the policy to be clear about what is collected and why, so I’m glad that came across. If anything is unclear, just let me know. Marvs

Hi, thanks for this. I appreciate the clear explanation about cookies and Google Analytics, but I am curious how you handle data retention over time, especially for comment submissions and IP-related information. Do you have a specific timeline for how long personal data is stored before it is deleted or anonymized? Also, for readers who are concerned about third party data sharing, could you clarify which specific partners may receive browser or geographic information and under what conditions that happens?

    • Marvs

Hi Aly, thank you for the detailed questions, and sorry for the slow reply! Comments are stored on this website so they can be displayed, and I’m happy to remove or anonymise anyone’s comment and details on request. Just leave a comment asking and I’ll take care of it. Site statistics come from Google Analytics. The site also now includes affiliate links (for example Amazon), and if you click one, that retailer may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. I’ll be updating my privacy policy to explain this more clearly. Marvs

I really enjoyed reading about sustainable fabrics like organic cotton and bamboo. I’m curious—what originally inspired you to focus on these materials and sustainable fashion in general? Was there a particular moment, experience, or piece of research that made you realize how important fabric choices are for the environment? Also, from your perspective, do you think consumers today are becoming more aware of how their clothing choices impact the planet, or do you feel there’s still a long way to go in terms of education and awareness?

    • Marvs

Hi Steven, thank you for such a thoughtful question, and sorry for the late reply! I started this site because I wanted to encourage more people to choose sustainable products in everyday life without spending a fortune. Learning how differently fabrics like organic cotton and bamboo are produced really showed me how much our clothing choices matter. I do think awareness is growing, but there’s still a long way to go, especially with so many vague “eco” claims on labels. That’s why I try to keep my guides honest and practical. Marvs

Reading this privacy policy has made me realize that I need to update my own privacy policies on my website. I haven’t looked at this for about six years and this one looks great and far more detailed than the one that I have. How often would you say one should revisit the policy pages on your website, and has a lot changed in the past few years?

    • Marvs

Hi Michel, great to hear from you again, and sorry for the delay in replying! I’d suggest reviewing your policy at least once a year, and any time you add something new to your site, such as analytics, affiliate links, a newsletter or a new plugin. Six years is quite a long time, as tools and privacy expectations have changed a lot, so it’s well worth a refresh. Marvs

This policy feels thoughtfully written and reassuring. I appreciate how clearly you explain what information is collected, how it’s used, and the boundaries you’ve put in place to protect visitors. Transparency like this really helps people feel safe engaging with a site. I’m curious—do you plan to expand this policy in the future to include how user data is handled across any additional tools or plugins you might add as the site grows?

    • Marvs

Thank you, Kiersti, and apologies for the late reply! Yes, I do plan to keep it updated. The site now uses affiliate links (for example Amazon), so I’ll be reviewing the policy to make sure it clearly covers any new tools or partners as the site grows. Marvs

Your privacy policy looks very clear and professionally put together. I’ve had to set one up myself, and it’s not always obvious what should be included, so it’s helpful to see everything laid out this way. It gives a good sense of transparency, which I think people really notice more these days.

    • Marvs

Thank you so much, Irina, and sorry for the slow reply! I agree, it isn’t always obvious what a privacy policy should include, so I tried to keep it clear and simple. I’m glad it came across as transparent. Marvs
